Ricoh Innovations Corporation is looking for a summer Marketing Communications Intern as we build a new brand. Keenai is our consumer SaaS Product for photography enthusiasts and this role will assist with brand management via social media, blogs, and other online channels.

Our selected rock star will learn the inner workings of the marketing communications strategy for an internationally distributed consumer software service and drive content marketing creation for the group.  At the end of the summer, the intern should have multiple pieces of published portfolio work (blogs, training videos, landing pages, social media posts, and more), as well as a deeper understanding of strategic ways to engage customers at all points in the buying cycle and experience converting customers from free to paid subscriptions

This position requires 20-25 hours a week, is located in Cupertino and reports to the Senior Marketing Manager. The opening will run from May to September, depending on school scheduling and pay is competitive within the industry and location.

 
Responsibilities include:
  • Social marketing program management including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
  • Producing, copywriting and editing blog, website and sales content. Interacting with customers and developing relationships with market influencers to grow network, solicit product endorsements, and gain support for marketing programs.
  • Collecting customer feedback via proactive outreach and response to inquiries.
  • Monitoring industry leaders, competitors, and industry trends to identify opportunities for engagement.

Experience / Skills Required:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, New Media, Graphic Design, or related field.
  • Preferred graduation date  Fall 2017 or Spring 2018.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to tell engaging stories.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

     

Experience / Skills Desired:

  • A passion for or experience in photography or videography Preferred graduation date  Fall 2017 or Sprig 2018.
  • Graphics and/or video editing experience
